California Work Opportunity & Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs)  The focus is on providing cash benefits to families and assist them in their efforts as they prepare themselves for or return to employment.

Provides energy saving measures and repairs to homes and mobile homes.  These dwellings qualify for weatherization measures if someone in the household receives Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF), Food Stamps, SSI or SSP, Veterans and Survivors Pension or if the household income does not exceed a certain amount determined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Cal- Fresh

CalFresh (formerly known as Food Stamps) helps low-income people buy the food they need for good health

Individuals and families may be eligible to receive CalFresh benefits, whether or not they work, if they have low income.

Applying for, and receiving, CalFresh will not affect a person’s immigration status or the immigration status of that family
